A little about me:

I was fortunate to be raised on a cattle ranch in eastern Colorado in the rural community of Joes and Kirk. The caring people and friendships of such a tight-knit community taught me what it truly means to be a good neighbor and shaped who I am today. After graduating from Liberty High School, I attended Colorado State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. Following my education, I worked in the Denver area before returning to eastern Colorado.

Having been a Certified Public Accountant since 2003, I’ve spent over 20 years balancing an accounting career and family life. During that time, I worked as Controller and Human Resources Director at Agri-Inject, Inc. in Yuma Colorado, owned my own accounting business and prepared tax returns and financial statements at local, regional, and national public accounting firms. My five children are active in the Burlington school district, 4-H and sports and I love watching them learn and grow.

My community involvement has centered around children, church and promoting healthy living. Being a founding board member of the Burlington Childcare Project – Sunshine Kids, I am passionate about addressing challenges faced by young families in our community. This nonprofit organization strives to develop a community childcare center that will be a safe, welcoming, and reliable resource for local families, helping them thrive for generations to come.

Outside the office, you might find me on an educational outing with my family, visiting with friends, exercising, snow skiing, attending kids’ ballgames & activities, coaching swim or volunteering at church or in the community.
